02 — chapter one

We started with one rule: the core games stay free

Everything we build sits behind that promise. A child in Year 2 should be able to open a game and start playing in seconds, without an account, an email address or a grown-up standing over the screen.

T&F Amazing Adventures publishes Thea and Faye's Amazing Games, which plenty of families simply call Fun Learning Games. The collection covers Year 1 to Year 6, and keeps going for older kids around ages 11 to 13 who still want a quick trivia round or a times tables sprint. Every game has easy, medium and hard, so the same page works for a child who is finding it tough and a sibling who is racing ahead.

This website is the brochure, the guide and the doorway. It explains what each game teaches and links straight through to the playable add-on at /app, where the games actually run. We keep the two jobs separate on purpose: reading pages are for adults comparing options, and the app is for kids who just want to press start.

The games are written for Australian classrooms and Australian kitchens. Australian Curriculum content, Australian spelling, Australian geography and history including First Nations topics. Stars are saved on the device rather than in an account we hold, there is no child login for the free games, and the buttons are big and obvious because a phone screen in a car park is the real testing ground.

Practice across addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, shapes, measurement, money, telling the time, word problems and times tables, from counting objects up to early algebra.

  3. English & Literacy Games

Spelling, phonics, sight words, grammar, punctuation and word sorting activities that build reading and writing confidence through short, repeatable rounds.

  4. Science, Geography, History & Trivia

Quizzes and interactive activities covering science concepts and lab experiments, Australian and world geography, history including First Nations topics, and general knowledge trivia.

What a game session actually looks like

Short rounds, bright screens and a star at the end. Here's the collection in the places it usually gets used — the couch, the classroom floor and the back seat.
